Side project

This project is something that was requested to be on canvas. I was sent a total of X images and there were two images where the customer wanted two copies of.

My customer wanted all of the animal images to be 8x10 inches and the grandchildren would be 10x12 inches. she also wanted a duplicate of the images with the two kids holding hands and the boy drinking milk.

The images with the stars are the ones that were needed to be duplicated.

What I did in corel

I imported all of the images onto a 50x60 inch work space. With The animal images I created an 8x10 rectangle and then created a offset by two inches. The rectangle ended up being 10x12 inches. However, This is a mistake I made with the design. I wanted the design to wrap around the canvas wood on the sides and back, but I didn't create any buffer space and you can see where the image ended. For the images of the grandchildren I made the boxes 10x12 and 12x14.

I didn't end up keeping the red boxes on the images when I printed them because for 1. they would have been on the canvases and for 2. they were created to help me figure out where the focal point of the image would be located on the canvas.

PSA!

Since I messed up the canvases and didn't create enough buffer space I had to reprint several of the images because they were not big enough to fit around the canvas wood. When I fixed them I made the second rectangle 13x15 inches so there was enough buffer space.

How I printed the canvas

In order to print something from Corel, you have to export it as an eps. After clicking enter, a screen will pop up.

For this one you'll

push "oK". In my class there is a specific computer that is hooked up to the printer that was going to print the canvases. I opened the file on the computer and dragged it into the printing program. I made edits through the program, ripped, and clicked print.

I sadly did not take any pictures of the finished canvases, but I did hear that she enjoyed the finished product!
